HVAC-Integrated Air Purification at IFC Hong Kong

Hong Kong's International Finance Centre is a landmark — and a massive indoor-air challenge. Its mixed-use complex spans retail, office, and hospitality spaces, each with different air quality demands. The existing ventilation system couldn't keep up, especially in public washrooms where VOC and odour levels spiked during peak visitor hours. Tenants noticed. Visitors noticed. Something had to change.

RHT designed a custom duct-mount NCCO unit delivering over 10,000 L/s of treated airflow and integrated it directly into IFC's existing HVAC — no structural modifications required. The system achieved a 92% TVOC reduction. Washrooms smell clean. Tenants are satisfied. And the building's premium indoor-air reputation is now backed by measurable data, not just marketing.
