Cutting Industrial VOCs and Filter Costs at SAE Magnetics
SAE Magnetics (Dongguan) LTD.
SAE Magnetics — one of the world's largest hard-disk read-write head manufacturers — runs a Dongguan factory that depends on aggressive chemical solvents for production and cleaning. Those solvents produce industrial exhaust loaded with VOCs. The plant's activated-charcoal filters saturated fast, requiring constant replacement. Each change-out meant rising costs and a gap in protection while the old media was still underperforming.
RHT installed an NCCO Air Treatment Unit that achieved a 56% TVOC removal rate from the industrial exhaust stream. Here's the part that mattered most to SAE: after 18 months of continuous operation, zero filter replacements, the system still met China's national air quality standards. The NCCO reactor's self-regenerating catalytic process turned what was a recurring cost centre into a set-and-forget solution.
